Mount Money

In a continued effort to better serve their students and appease the growing demand to spend off-campus, Mount Saint Mary College has introduced Mount Money Off-Campus to their college ID card which enables students to use their college ID as a form of payment at participating merchants in the community. Traditionally used to identify the student and gain access to dormitories, the college ID has evolved to encompass many aspects of the student’s life including verifying meal plans, laundry, printing and now on and off-campus spending.

Mount Money is currently accepted at several on-campus locations as well as eight off-campus merchants including Alexis Diner, Randone’s Pizzeria, Julianna’s Deli and Pizzeria, Newburgh Art Supply, as well as the local pharmacy.

Students get more options on where to spend when they are looking for something different or the dining halls are closed while local businesses experience increased traffic and sales.

Local merchants interested in participating in the Mount Money program can expect:

  • Increased student traffic and average transaction amounts while strengthening relationships with the Newburgh community
  • State-of-the-art transaction processing terminal with fast transaction response times Daily settlement of funds via ACH
  • Access to reporting that shows complete, real-time transaction activity including an end-of-month statement
  • Dedicated toll-free support hotline available 24/7
