Washington’s Headquarters, during Women’s History Month, pays tribute to a great woman in history, Martha Washington. On Saturday, March 26th, their program “The General’s Lady” will be presented in the Museum located at 84 Liberty Street, at 1:00 PM.
A presentation “From Petticoats to Breeches: Unveiling 18th Century Clothing” will be given by Nina Pierro. To help illustrate the topic, Nina will utilize reproductions of 18th Century attire. Following that a First Ladies trivia game will be played. Light refreshments will be served after the program.
During the program, the annual “Martha Washington Woman Of History Award” will be presented to Beacon resident, Mara Farrell, in recognition of her ongoing efforts regarding Hudson Valley historic preservation.
