Get ready to row, or learn to row! The Newburgh Rowing Races and Community Day will be Saturday July 14 from 9 am – 5 pm, at the Newburgh Rowing Club Boathouse, on the River at the bottom of Renwick Street. They will have the Police and Firefighter Rowing Race. Newburgh Rowing Club teams will compete in races against Kingston, O’Neill and perhaps North Rockland Warwick. Children ages 10 and up learn to row for free, free gig boat rides for kids 10 – 17, barbecue, bake sale, vendors, raffles, prizes and more! The police and firefighter race starts at 1 pm. They are looking for the entire Crew Team (including recent graduates) to row and help out, along with Rowing Club members. Several “Bragging Rights” races, including ALUM v. Class of 2012. FREE EVENT NO ENTRY FEES!
