Inside Out Art in Newburgh

Inside Out Newburgh

These art projects in Newburgh have been sprouting all over the place this summer! Newburgh is part of the Inside Out Art Group Project, a global project of people standing up for their communities. The project was created by the TED2011 Prize winner JR, a semi-anonymous French street artist. It involves contributing a large-scale, participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work.

Portraits of participants have been printed at 3×4.5 feet and pasted on the side of a brick building at the corner of Broadway and Johnston in Newburgh. You can view more photos and information on the Newburgh Inside Out Fan Page
