Newburgh Abandoned Home

These dollhouses, as I like to call them, with the gingerbread detailing are some of my favorite in Newburgh. These are some of the homes that I wish could be restored the most. The character of these homes can never be duplicated if torn down. The shape of the window frames is so quaint, especially those 2 little windows on the top floor. If the idea of fixing up this home is daunting check out this amazing before and after in Washington DC of another rowhome.

Newburgh is New York State’s second largest historic district after NYC. Newburgh literally has hundreds of dilapidated and abandoned buildings just begging for someone to come scoop them up and restore them. I’ll continue to post my own photos, but if you have a particular building you would like to see saved, email me the photo of any building you appreciate that you would like to see rescued!
