Phase III of the East Parmenter Neighborhood Begins

East Parmenter Newburgh NY

Phase III of the East Parmenter neighborhood will break ground tomorrow, September 11, 2012 at 1pm at 31-39 E. Parmenter Street.  It is a planned 24-home, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood with pocket parks and Energy Star rated homes near Washington’s Headquarters in Newburgh.

This development, the first of its kind in a recognized historic district, has replaced blighted and abandoned structures boarded up for over 20 years. Phase I and Phase II of this neighborhood revitalization effort created affordable homes for 9 Habitat homeowners. Phase III will produce 5 more single attached homes. This phase will be referred to as “Faith Builds.”
