Exhibit at SHOH: Jonathan Dobin – A Retrospective of Art Works, 1969-2012

A retrospective of art works by the versatile Newburgh artist and musician, Jonathan Dobin, will be exhibited in the lobby of the Cornerstone Residence at 111 Broadway commencing Sunday, September 23rd. The pieces displayed span 42 years of the artist’s life – from 1969 through 2012 – and demonstrate his wide-range of expression and fluency of techniques. Represented are oils, acrylics, pen-and-ink, ball-point pen, sculpture and pencil – fully realized, freely sketched, representational and abstract pieces.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Sunday September 23, from 3 – 5 pm in the Cornerstone Lobby; where they will have an opportunity to meet with the artist and mingle.Safe Harbors of the Hudson is a Newburgh-based nonprofit organization which is committed to transforming lives and building communities through housing and the arts. It encourages active Hudson Valley artists to live and create their work in the Cornerstone Residence and artist studio space and shows artist-in-residence work in the Cornerstone Lobby in yearly revolving art exhibitions. Mr. Dobin has been an active artist-in-residence since 2009.
