This weekend you will have the rare opportunity to see inside artist studios in the City of Newburgh. The 2nd annual event is called Newburgh Open Studios. It has been well known that artists have been moving into warehouses, storefronts and mansions. This summer has produced many art installations of outdoor murals and new neighbors with exciting ideas. Newburgh Art Supply is using their connections to create a city wide self guided tour of more than 24 studios throughout the City. There will be some great venues that ordinarily would not be open to the public.
You will need to pick up a map to guide yourself through the various studios. Maps will be available starting Saturday morning at 10 am at Newburgh Art Supply. There will also be an Artists Meet & Greet Kickoff Party on Friday, September 28, hosted by the Newburgh Brewery. Read more about this event in the recent THR news article.
