This home on Clinton Street is in the heart of the historic district in Newburgh. Built in 1834, it was designed by Frank E. Estabrook, the same architect that designed the Liberty Street School and many other Newburgh buildings. Right next door is the Newburgh Historical Society and many of the surrounding homes are some of the best architectural gems of the city.
The interior boasts many gorgeous original details. There are 4 working fireplaces, 2 coal and 2 wood and even Tiffany suspected stained glass windows. The listing says that the home is in need of restoration, and that this is a short sale.

stunning house…!
It’s beautiful! What a great price, too. Love all the woodwork, and I think I see a pocket door. 🙂 I don’t foresee it being on the market long.
Try 1884….
What a beauty! Saw this last week and instantly feel in love. Remax had additional photos (listed as older photos) of the bathroom, and porch. Just stunning.
This is a lovely house. But those taxes will need to be reassessed. $13,000 before even any improvements are done is just too much.
