Selections from The Lightbulb Project will be on display in the lobby gallery of the Newburgh Free Library from Sept. 4 – 30.  A free public reception is scheduled for Sun., Sept. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Curated by and conceived Gerardo Castro, The Lightbulb Project is a public art event that debuted in June 2013 as part of the Newburgh Illumination celebration.  A total of 52 artists created individual works on 4-ft high wood light bulb forms. The artists range in disciplines from Fine Arts, photographers sculptors, tailors, graphic designers, graffiti artists, carpenters, musicians and many more. Twelve of the light bulbs will be displayed at the Newburgh Free Library as part of the 3rd Annual Newburgh Open Studios Tour taking place Sat., Sept. 28 and and Sun., Sept. 29 – 11am to 5pm and sponsored by Newburgh Art Supply.
