Newburgh CSA Back for 2014

Newburgh CSA

The Newburgh CSA is pleased to announce that we’re back, with memberships now available for the 2014 season!  CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  This year we hope to see familiar faces as well as expanded membership, and couldn’t be more excited to be offering some of the finest beyond organic produce in the region.

Huguenot St. Farm of New Paltz, NY will once again provide their quality vegetables all summer long, with fruit shares being filled by a variety of local orchards and berry growers.  As a member, you’ll be purchasing the freshest edibles as the seeds are sprouting, giving the farm the financial support necessary to nurture these plants until they reach your dinner table!

CSA distributions will be held in the Safe Harbors building at 115 Broadway, in the heart of Newburgh.  We’re excited that the distributions will be hosted by Space Create, an alternative work space for collaborative ideas, launching this June. The first pick up will be June 5th, 2014.  Pick up hours will be Thursday evenings from 5pm to 7pm, and the season will generally run 22 weeks (June – October).

Newburgh CSA Dad and Son

Another great benefit of being a Newburgh CSA member is access to the farm’s ever changing and FREE u-pick section that includes flowers, berries, peppers, beans, herbs and other specialties.

A variety of helpful payment plans are available.  This year the farm is working with Farmigo.com to manage the CSA orders, which helps streamline the sign up process and gives members more flexibility in terms of how they pay.

Sign up today, and spread the word to anyone you know that’s interested in quality food, eating for health, and building the local economy!

If you have questions regarding the CSA or Huguenot St. Farm, please contact the farm at 845-419-2164, or even better, email them: csa@huguenotfarm.com

Huguenot St. Farm will be hosting an Open House in there main barn on March 1st from 4pm to 6pm.  We highly recommend checking out this beautiful place and meeting the great folks who operate it!
