  • Actually, the oldest wing of the current man building of Newburgh Free Academy dates to 1928, the next wing (with the planetarium dome) was dedicated by Senator Robert Kennedy in 1964, and the west wing was built in the 1990s.

    Today’s South Middle School (formerly South Junior High School) and NFA North (formerly North Junior High School) were Depression-era projects.
