UPDATE: Due to the threat of inclement weather, the City of Newburgh July 4th celebration has been postponed until Saturday, July 5.
This year’s fireworks display will be launched from the grounds of the former Consolidated Iron site (adjacent to Gully’s restaurant), on Friday, July 4, at approximately 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets!
Events will begin at noon at UNICO Park.
The schedule is as follows:
Noon-6 p.m. Vendors and Artists on the River
6 p.m.- 9 p.m.- Music by Dr. Magkneetoe
9 p.m. (approximately) Fireworks
Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site at 84 Liberty Street will be open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Starting at 11:30 a.m. tours will be given every half-hour, the last one at 4:30 p.m. There will also be crafts for children. Admission for the day is free.
The rain date for all events will be Saturday, July 5.
