  • Great reads as usual, however , they seem to hit the mark especially well this week relative to Newburgh.
” You must learn which customer demands are being met and which ones are not, referred to as leakage.” This gets back to the concept of drawing and maintaining ‘the Creative Class’ in Newburgh. They, we, are the City’s ‘customers’. As Cher said, there are two colleges just within the ‘City itself. There are several in less than an hour’s drive. That’s not leakage, that hemorrhaging. Are they all moving out of state? Are they all living in the basements? Capital goes where it is appreciated. Period.
Aside, +1 for the pieces on ‘Urban Murals’ and ‘Homeschooling’ (the monopoly on accreditation is bankrupting us).
    …thanks for the 288 update
