You might never find this house it is so secluded on this tiny street north of Downing Park. It’s a quaint place that has been updated with Mediterranean and Mid Century Modern touches. It’s a good start if you are interested in preservation or modernization of the home. Whatever your taste may be, the house looks good enough to move in and make changes as you go. The neighboring houses are really quite interesting, especially #16. I am just not sure it still looks the same; for better or worse.

Going to check it out tomorrow along with some of the other super-bargains that we could afford without too much fuss. We adore the little white cottage on Carter and the big yellow Italianate on S Lander, but need to check out the blocks of each … And several others! Continuing to consider making the leap from NYC renting to Newburgh, and your blog is always my first read when we consider a move each year. I think we’re getting close!

If you journey, you’ll notice that NoBro of Downing Park offers a slight buffer to the ‘issues’ of the more centralized Newburgh. The Mount St. Mary campus adds further ‘insulation’ in addition to providing great grounds for walking. This area of Nobro still retains an architectural interest that the west of Robinson Ave. (9w) section lacks. Good luck, and don’t bid too high as tptb will use it as measure to raise my assessment ; )
