Newburgh Complete Streets

“During an event hosted by the Newburgh Preservation Association, architect Peter Smith led members of the public in a discussion and demonstration of the concept of Complete Streets within Newburgh’s historic district. Spray chalk was used to mark the intersection of Liberty and 3rd street to visualize how Complete Street elements promote safety and aesthetics. In the background is the First United Methodist Church, an example of the rich architecture scattered through out the city.” To read more about complete streets and their role in historic preservation read this post on HV Blogs.
