Last Friday, Eco Shrimp Garden in Newburgh had its grand opening. There was standing room only with patrons spilling out the door to attend the event. Samples of shrimp were available. Owner, Jean Claude Frajmund is excited to offer “high quality shrimp, free of chemicals, antibiotics and hormones commonly associated with traditional shrimp farming”. They are open everyday from 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM inside the old Resnick Mattress Factory, 99 South William Street.

  • This is great news. I wonder how many people will be employed there. I also wonder if Sally’s fish market will carry these shrimp (although I don’t eat shrimp). Either way whether the people that work there are from Newburgh or not the fact the building is being used and some of money should be spent in the area even if folks are commuting in from other locations.
