Great news for the empty storefront that used to be the antique shop next to Cafe Macchiato. It has been announced that it will become the Liberty Street Bistro. According to their website, this new business endeavor will be lead by another Culinary Institute of America alum. Chef, Michael Kelly has experience working in very famous award winning kitchens.

Glancing at the menu it seems the Liberty Street Bistro will bring more upscale dinning to the corridor. *Edit* New revised menu coming soon! It will also bring more options to the area. Perhaps this will encourage visitors from the waterfront to venture uphill. Only time will tell. We are all looking forward to seeing the plans come to fruition!

  • I have a feeling it will be attractive to many others besides the ‘waterfront crowd’ and I look forward to the opening. On your fork, get set, GO! 🙂

    • ‘True that’. This along with outside concerts at the new Urban Green Park (hint) will be a welcomed alternative to the H2O hoards.

  • Congratulations to the new chef. Great to have so many new choices. I am loving all the options and that they are vegetarian friendly. =) (please)
Welcome to Newburgh and I can’t wait to stop in!
