2016-PlacemakingConference_Page_1

The Orange County Citizens Foundation has announced its 2016 Placemaking Award recipients, who will be honored at the 8th Annual Placemaking Conference & Awards, Revitalizing Main Street, on Friday, June 3, 2016. Included is our own Newburgh Last Saturdays!

The Placemaking Awards recognize individuals, organizations, projects, and festivals that have contributed to the creation or transformation of public “places” to improve the local community, and have exemplified placemaking concepts and practices.

Newburgh Last Saturdays, Newburgh: Newburgh Last Saturdays is held the last Saturday of each month to celebrate the arts, local restaurants, cafés, and shops in the Washington Headquarters neighborhood. It was selected as an award recipient for its incredible impact on the entire City of Newburgh and its residents.

The 8th Annual Placemaking Conference and Awards will be held at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center at 321 South William Street in Newburgh.

The $75 per person cost includes off-street parking, breakfast, lunch, all conference materials, keynote presentations, and panel discussions. Conference sponsorships are still available. For more information regarding sponsorships or to RSVP, contact Bonnie Neucall at 845-469-9459 or bonnie@occitizensfoundation.org.
