Newburgh Brewing Company

The Newburgh Brewery is officially operating, and now the bar/tasting room is complete. Furnishings will complete the room, but it’s a far cry from what it used to look like. The floors have been refinished and came out gorgeous. Check out the brewery’s fan page for more photos and other great information. Hopefully there will be a grand opening for the bar as well.

It was crowded waaay before the event officially started.  We got there at 5pm and it was packed.  There were several chafing dishes of free food in the back (a sample of Wherehouse appetizers, yum!) and the beers were indeed “sessionable.”  They’re light, and I’ve dubbed them the “drink and drive” beers – but, you know, don’t drink and drive.  I can’t wait to visit the brewery when they finally open to the public in late May.

Newburgh beer just became a whole lot more recognizable, due to these custom made bar handles made from the original floor boards of the building. Each one is unique and has their logo of the purple heart beer mug. Don’t forget to check out the ribbon cutting today!

The Newburgh Brewing Company will officially be in business after next Friday’s ribbon cutting ceremony! Afterwards you can swing by the Wherehouse Restaurant for the After Party. It’s great to see a new business being born in Newburgh, especially a business that is branding the city and will bring fame and visitors for a positive reason!
