The Wherehouse and Newburgh Brewing Company have teamed up once again, but this time, it’s to support a great local Newburgh charity: Safe Harbors of the Hudson. Starting at 6pm on May 17th at The Wherehouse, a specially designated keg of Newburgh Saison will become the “Safe Harbors Brew.” Proceeds from each draft poured that evening from this tap will benefit Safe Harbors of the Hudson and their mission of transforming lives and building communities through housing and the arts. Safe Harbors is playing a pivotal role in the overall cultural and economic revitalization of the City of Newburgh.

This special draft will be available from 6pm until close (11 pm) at The Wherehouse, 119 Liberty Street in Newburgh.

Come on down to The Wherehouse on Thursday evening, and support a local bar, a local beer, and a great local charity!

For more information about the event call (845) 562-6940 or email info@safe-harbors.org

It was crowded waaay before the event officially started.  We got there at 5pm and it was packed.  There were several chafing dishes of free food in the back (a sample of Wherehouse appetizers, yum!) and the beers were indeed “sessionable.”  They’re light, and I’ve dubbed them the “drink and drive” beers – but, you know, don’t drink and drive.  I can’t wait to visit the brewery when they finally open to the public in late May.

Have you seen the newest profile update on the Newburgh Brewing Company Fan page? If not see below!

Has there ever been a better email than the one with the subject line: “BREWERY APPROVED”? Well, not for us. Newburgh Brewing Company is excited to share the news that we received our federal license late [last] Thursday afternoon, which means we are about ready to start brewing. Thanks for everyone’s support and encouragement, and we look forward to seeing Newburgh Brewing beer out in the market in a few short weeks.
