Mr Fencho...I do believe the administration has their priorities in the right place. And trust me, I DO AGREE with your philosophy and concerns 200%. But I feel there has to also be a concerted effort to not portray Newburgh;s recovery as a "one note gong" as the blog tries to emphasize. It will be a concerted effort from the current administration, law enforcement, new resident homeowners, visionary investors and developers to work together to bring Newburgh back...Which honestly, I KNOW will happen. It is time to treat Newburgh like NEWBRUGH and not some version of "Narniah" with whistfull informaton about robins eggs in nests and dandelion wine (which is NICE, but not relevent to Newburgh's recovery). BUT...as a potential stakeholder (and trust me this has been a journey)...I KNOW...Newburgh is on the way back!!

Violent Crime has to be addressed. Brooklyn (as most of NYC) was going thru hell well into the 80s. Guliani and crew worked on crime and quality of life issues and held all his captains directly liable for not improving their districts. AND THEN the money started to come in. 4 Murders already and we're not even in summer yet. No one will ever believe in a Newburgh come back if it's leadership are not held accountable and don't put Newburgh on some path of success.

Yet more stories about "community gardens"....Ms Cher?...is that how taxes get paid? UGH... I think NOT. It's time to realize the ONLY way is thru homes being put BACK on the tax maps and becoming solid tax paying properties. thru restoration and renovations. It is time to be concerned about Newburgh's financial future. (which I am TRYING to become a stakeholder in myself) vs trying to satisfy the focus of blog writer and readers with no aspiratons of ever really becoming part of Newburgh's future!

Once again...the perverbial brokern record. Yes and THAT was how "Brownstone Brooklyn" developed...NOT....Sorry Yaakov or anyone else...that is NOT how it happened. More investors and developers put the Brooklyn nabes on the MAP more than any single family owner occupants. Poor, poor Newburgh with its super narrow minded thinking.... I still want to be part of it, but it is time to "get over your poor selves" LOLOL

If only this house could find a buyer who would convert it back to a one family unit. Too many homes in Washington Heights have been broken up into multiple apartments. my own home was one of them. A one family home had been turned into an ugly 2 apartment building. A kitchen was made out of a bedroom on the second floor. I turned the house back into a one family unit and the old second floor kitchen was taken out and restored to a guest bedroom. Brooklynites!! And others! Look, and have some creative ideas how to convert this fine home back into what it is meant to be.

Dear Sandiford,

The link for the property is always included. Click on the address and you will be sent to the link. If the property listing is no longer available, then you will have to do some digging to see if it is still on the market, or contact a realtor.

I am happy to see community-building food options coming to residents of the City of Newburgh!

Supporting local agriculture is a wonderful thing to do; we are fortunate to have organic farms and dairies nearby within New York State.

Research has shown that there is no age or income difference for consumers of good food--consumers are everyone in every income level.

Good food is not elite, it brings people together.
