Dreams of Service Volunteer Session + Community Celebration

In honor of the Martin Luther King national Day of Service, the Dream Center is honored to host “Dreams of Service” a community gathering to ignite volunteerism + honor the everyday heroes who do so much to help make communities a better.

Start off your year with purpose and take place in the MLK “Day of Service” at The Dream Center!

PART I: NEWBURGH DREAM GARDEN VOLUNTEER SESSIONS

Join us on Jan 16, 2017 as we have come together for our inaugural monthly service day in the Dream Center Dream Garden.

The Dream Center Dream Garden will be a place for inspiration, meditation, reflection, and nourishment of our dreams and goals and we reach for the manifestation of our visions and desires. We will have two sessions:

Service Sessions
January 16th 10am-12pm
January 16th 12pm-2pm

These sessions will consist of cleaning and removing debris from the site! Along with Intercommunity networking and engaging! Master Gardener in Training Pamela Woodard will be facilitating this session along with many more projects throughout the year! Children and families are indeed welcome!

If you are looking to be an active volunteer at The Dream Center or just for this day in particular then please come out!

2017 Dreams of Service Program.
Beginning Jan 16, on Martin Luther King Day, we will meet monthly to lovingly tend our space to bring the Dream Center Dream Garden into reality. We invite you to join us and work with us.

*All plans subject to change depending on weather.*
January – Raking and bagging leaves for compost; cleaning debris
February – Building the compost bin and worm farm;
March – Building garden beds
April – TBD

PART II: COMMUNITY DREAMS CELEBRATION
Dream Gathering “Dream Drinks” Hot Chocolate, Tea, Coffee

7 PM: We invite residents, parents, children, teenagers, and community leaders to listen to this month’s keynote speaker Ozioma Egwuwonwu, Founder of The Dream Center and BurnBright, while sipping on hot chocolate, tea, and hot cider.

After which there will be an active discussion and celebration session.
