Eric Person Trio In Concert @ Newburgh Free Library

September 24 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

Eric Person and his band return to the library to give us an afternoon of blues and jazz. For over thirty years, saxophonist Eric Person has been committed to composing, recording and performing contemporary American music. He’s featured as a leader and sideman on more than 50 recordings. His broad range of experience with Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, Houston Person, John Hicks and many others have all contributed greatly to his mature alto and soprano sound and his skills as an arranger and composer.
Russ Musto of All About Jazz Magazine stated “Person is more then fine; he’s a major talent of his generation.” This program will feature the Standards, blues, bop and original compositions. Songs you might recognise by Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane and others.
