Welcome to Newburgh, Newcomer!

The second Sunday in June marks the 13th anniversary of Newburgh for Newcomers, a collaboration of property owners keen to see Newburgh rediscovered and thriving.  In 2002 we reached out hoping others would be attracted to Newburgh for it’s incredible architecture, urban streetscape, and preservation mind set.

The theme of our 2013 bus and house tour was “Newburgh–like Brooklyn, but affordable.”

In the past two years, more urban pioneers have bought homes and moved into Newburgh than most of us “Oldcomers” can recall for a similar timespan.

This turnaround is a milestone worth celebrating.  Come to meet and mingle with others who have been here ten years or more and to talk about how to keep the momentum going!
