The Greater Newburgh Partnership will be hosting a meeting on Saturday, February 8 and Wednesday, February 12 for all that want to learn about the efforts to update the zoning codes in the City of Newburgh. For those of you who do not understand what zoning is, zoning and land use laws are extremely important elements of the development of a city. Zoning divides the community into commercial, residential, and industrial districts. Many warehouses and other such spaces can not be used for residential or commercial use because they are only zoned for industrial use.
