Library users are invited to challenge their stereotypes and take out a Human Book – a real person with a fascinating story to to tell. “Readers” or participants “check out” the human book they’re interested in to have a one-on-one conversation about the “book’s” experiences with adversity, misconceptions, prejudice and stereotypes. Unlike a real book, readers can ask human “books” questions and engage in friendly discussions. Meet in the library lobby to pair up with a “book”. Open to adults.
