Looking for a 2 br Rental

Lookiong for a Local Carpenter
Hi. I’m looking to install some crown molding and repair/replace two window sills and surrounding trim in my kitchen. Was hoping people here might give me some contacts for this work. I heard there’s someone working (or living) in Micheal Green’s house, but have yet to get his contact info. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Moving back to newburgh!
Hi fellow Newburghers! My husband and I grew up in Newburgh/New Windsor and moved to Brooklyn 9 years ago. We are looking to come back with our 1 year old and are seriously considering moving to the heights.
Our families are both in the TOwn of Newburgh and New Windsor and think that we are absolutely insane. Can you give us some info that we can share with them to help them feel a little less freaked out about it?
Thanks!
Kitchen Renovation– Looking for a Design and Build Company
So we moved to Newburgh several months ago, and we’re about to start renovating our kitchen. We’re looking for someone to design and coordinate the process. It’s not a gut renovation. We don’t need cabinets built, just an island. We’re hoping to salvage the floors and move a few things around.
Any suggestions for local businesses we should contact?
Thanks!
Phil
Visiting Newburgh with Thoughts of Staying
My fiance and I are planning to visit Newburgh this coming Saturday, November 8th, to see what is happening in the community and see some properties to invest or maybe live. We currently live in Brooklyn. Graphic designer and IT Tech by vocation, and artist and musician by avocation.
What/where would you recommend going to see the best of what is happening in the Newburgh community, and where are the best areas to buy?
Movie being filmed in Newburgh?
a movie called 1165 pollio or something like that? They said they have a facebook page but I can’t find it. If anyone has heard of this movie or knows the correct title could you link me to their facebook page for updates on the movie? thank you.
Looking to move to Newburgh – advice?
Have a few questions on a potential move:
Best realtors to contact.
Ideal location for someone without a car and needs to be able to walk to commuter bus to NYC or to ferry to Beacon.
General commute time to midtown, taking into consideration winter months, bad weather conditions.
Renovation costs for hopefully a house that needs cosmetic work and plumbing connections and average electrical work.
Supermarkets/food stores within walking distance of ferry or bus.
Cost of renting one bedroom to “test the waters”.
Thanks all,
Sand Blasting
We’re looking to have brick walls in our basement sand blasted. About 1000 sq. ft. of wall space, give or take. Contractors ? Suggestions ? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone is looking for an apartment or knows of anyone who is, a 100 year old brick structure has been gutted down to the bare bricks and completely rebuilt to incorporate classic style with modern conveniences. Located on Ann Street near Johnson Street (one block over from Broadway) duplex apartment includes full wood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave with vent, in the kitchen; hardwood floors, working gas fireplace, recessed lighting, ceiling fans, walk-in closet. Restaurant Need in Newburgh
Hello all!
I’m a local to Albany and am looking to open a restaurant within the next year or so and think that Newburgh would be the perfect place to settle down and open up shop. I’ve read a lot of comments from readers in these forums about wanting more businesses to open in the area, but I wanted to ask if the need for a restaurant is there? It’s a modern Italian concept (but close to causal dining, not fine dining with white tablecloths). The concept is local ingredients from farms and gardens, everything fresh and made in-house (nothing frozen or pre-packaged, everything prepared that day).
There seems to be a mix of casual and high-end dining already in place, so I was curious as to the needs/wants of the locals in terms of dining options.
Thanks for any help or insight!
Incentives to Move/Invest in the city of Newburgh
I took the New Haven line to Mamorneck last week and noticed an advertisement on the train that offered attractive incentives for anyone who would consider moving to New Haven CT (http://renewhavenct.com/) Incentives are really amazing and include tax benefits in addition to free college education if your child graduates the New Haven public schools. Does Newburgh have a group of advocates who are promoting incentives to move and invest here? If yes, who are they and how can I get involved?
It would be a dream of mine to restore one of the old homes in the city and live there; however, the investment required is astronomical with the taxes. It doesn’t seem as if city politics are in favor of revitalization or gentrification. Does anyone have any insight into this? Too many historic gems are on the market, what is preventing the city from offering incentives to people who genuinely want invest and be a part of Newburgh?
loft/warehouse space to buy/renovate??
my husband and daughter and i currently reside in brooklyn. as an artist and social worker with a child, brooklyn is beginning to eat us alive and we’ve started to think about getting out of town. newburgh feels like a real possibility to us. we’re interested particularly in buying a big open warehouse/lofty type space but we don’t see much of that on the usual real estate websites. so a couple of questions: does this sort of thing exist in newburgh? and, if so, how do we go about finding out about what’s available?
thanks!
