Rescue Me: 260 Liberty Street

One day this will be a really cute cottage and might look something a little like this.  This is 260 Liberty Street, another one of those homes that I think can be bought and rehabbed through a certain organization. Newburgh is New York State’s second largest historic district after NYC. Newburgh literally has hundreds of dilapidated and abandoned buildings just begging for someone to come scoop them up and restore them.

Feel free to post comments with any information you might have on the building featured. I’ll continue to post my own photos, but if you have a particular building you would like to see saved, email me the photo of any building you appreciate that you would like to see rescued!

  • …I would love to document some of these abandoned buildings “before” they get rescued. If you know any of the owners, or any one in the building department…please keep me in mind.

  • Will do Michael. I mostly just go around taking random pictures. You could probably do the same. And then as you start noticing some of the homes being fixed up, you can begin to show comparisons.
