Arbor Day Planting On Liberty Street April 24

Next Wednesday, April 24th at noon a new tree will be planted in front of the Newburgh Flour Shop Bakery. This is in collaboration with the Conservation Advisory Council, DPW, and Liberty Street business owners.

A nice Kwanzan Cherry Tree from Orange Nursery has been selected by CAC. In an effort to fill in some of the empty tree pits in our burgeoning business corridor we are trying to add urban plantings that are vital for complete streets and neighborhoods. In the fall, the tree that came down during the tornado last year will be grinded down and a new one will be planted in its place.

We would welcome your attendance. Make sure to take a stop by during the April 27th Spring into Newburgh Last Saturday event!
