DESCRIPTION:ADULT INTRO WORKSHOP\n115.00\n\n10am-2pm November 10th and 11th\, 2018\nADULT INTRO TO WEAVING \nParticipants will team up to share a loom and learn basic plain weave and twill patterns on three different warps. Warp winding\, yarn calculation\, and dressing the loom will take place on Saturday. On Sunday we will finish up dressing and weave through samples to finish and take home by the end of the day. Alternative fiber yarns will be available to highlight play between structure\, material\, and color as weavers rotate through looms to try each pattern. \nNote: Please eat before weaving class! Clean snacks are welcome for the hangry among us.\nFeeling shy? Sign up with a buddy! \n3 to 6 participants.

You will learn how to use Dixie Bell chalk paint\, learn how to distress the plaque\, work with stencils and make your own felt flowers. No need to bring anything.\nDuring each class we will walk you through easy steps with plenty of demonstrations and hands on help as you create your very own piece to take home. All materials are included and because most of our items are made with reclaimed wood\, there are often character flaws\, imperfections and blemishes in the wood making each piece unique to itself.
