Using flooring materials on your home ‘s walls adds a visual element of interest and unexpectedness. Bamboo flooring has a different look to traditional hardwood, with a different texture of grain. Because bamboo is a fast-growing plant, adding paneling to your walls is a more environmentally friendly option than using wood. It’s not designed to hang vertically, but using nails and glue help keep it securely attached to your wall.
If you want to install the bamboo planks horizontally across your wall, place the first row in place and nail each board to a stud wherever possible. Install the second row above the first, cutting short the first board of the second row to stagger the rows. Rip-cut the boards at the top in the final row to fit between the last row of planks and the ceiling.
