This is going to be a big year for the Newburgh Community Land Bank. With the assistance of the NYS Attorney General and other sources, we will undertake meaningful work. A public meeting regarding expansion of the Newburgh Area Transit Service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 7:00PM at the Newburgh City Hall, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, New York. The expanded Newburgh Area Transit service will consist of improved Northside and Southside routes and a new cross-town route between the St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital facilities in Newburgh and Cornwall. Complete Streets Design Workshop
The Orange County Planning Department has hired Alta Planning and Design to create complete streets design plans for targeted locations in two study areas under the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities Grant (a 5 year NYSDOH public health initiative.) These study areas will include an intersection and 1.3 mile corridor on Lake Street and Lake Drive in the City of Newburgh and a 1.3 mile corridor on Pike Street and Jersey Avenue in the City of Port Jervis. City of Newburgh Memorial Day Parade 2019
Line- up for the parade will be at 9:15 a.m. and step-off will be at 10 a.m. sharp. To avoid confusion, please line up where you are directed and adhere to the Division Marshal’s instructions. There will be services held at Washington’s Headquarters immediately after the parade (approximately 11:30 a.m.). Feel free to attend, all Veterans will be honored.
