Francois Deschamps: Photo-Rapide Newburgh
Francois Deschamps has been photographing the people of the diverse neighborhood around and near Broadway in Newburgh, New York, since 2014. This body of work seems especially relevant in today’s political climate and is dedicated to those who have collaborated with the photographer to create these portraits. Deschamps begins by offering free photographs that he produces on the spot with a portable digital printer. NCPP Film Series – Daughters of the Dust
NCPP celebrates Black History Month! In the month of February, NCPP will be screening films celebrating Black lives every week (sometimes even twice a week!). Our second film, DAUGHTERS OF THE DUST on Friday, 16th February at 7 pm is a 1991 independent film written, directed and produced by Julie Dash and is the first feature film directed by an African-American woman that was distributed theatrically in the United States.
