The second part of the joint program by the Newburgh Historical Society and St. George’s Episcopal Church continues on August 2nd at 3:00 p.m. with a history talk about the Rev. John Brown. During the first part of their partnership, over 100 members of the public toured through the historic St. George’s Cemetery, which was founded by the Rev. Brown in 1838. Gino Francesconi, the director of the archives and Rose Museum at Carnegie Hall, will be giving a lecture at St. George's Church on the history of Carnegie Hall and the establishment of its Archives.  Tickets are $20 and include the lecture and a reception.  We will also be selling raffle tickets to win a behind-the-scenes tour of Carnegie Hall for the winner and up to three friends (transportation from Newburgh included).
