Lecture: History of Hudson Valley

July 16, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$5

Noted Hudson River Valley Historian Vernon Benjamin will give a talk on Sunday, July 16 at 3PM at the Newburgh Heritage Center, 123 Grand Street in Newburgh, sponsored by the Historical Society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands.  He is the author of two volumes on the history of the Hudson River Valley.  His books cover the whole span of life in the Hudson Valley from the original Native American settlements through the Dutch colony followed by the British, leading to the historic part played by the Valley in the Revolutionary War.  For this talk Benjamin would like to take advantage of the current interest in the role women played in the settlement of the Valley and in the suffrage movement.

The talk is free to members of the Historical Society and the public is welcome to attend for a $5.00 suggested donation. For more information please call (845) 561-2585 or visit their website, newburghhistoricalsociety.com.
