Panel Discussion: Broken Borders

Join us for our reading series for Newburgh Last Satruday as we discuss current events and our new political paradigm. Moderated by Sarah Jaffe we’ll discuss issues of immigration, citizenship and social justice.
We’ll be joined by Atossa Araxia Abrahamian and E. Tammy Kim.
Atossa Araxia Abrahamian is a journalist journalist and the author of The Cosmopolites: The Coming of the Global Citizen. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, the London Review of Books, and other publications.
E. Tammy Kim is a writer and an editorial staffer at The New Yorker. She co-edited the new book, Punk Ethnography: Artists & Scholars Listen to Sublime Frequencies, about avant-garde world music. In a previous life, she worked as a social-justice lawyer.
Sarah Jaffe is a Nation Institute fellow and the author of Necessary Trouble: Americans in Revolt.
