Thursday, October 24
7 p.m.
Safe Harbors Lobby at the Ritz
107 Broadway, Newburgh
Have you ever wondered why a conductor is needed? Most people have seen a conductor waving wildly at the orchestra while they do all the hard work of making the sound. Can’t musicians just count?
Join us for The Maestro Mystique at the Safe Harbors Lobby at the Ritz on Thursday, October 24 at 7 p.m. for this multi-media presentation with Russell Ger – Music Director of the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra. In this program, Ger delves into the fascinating world of conducting and its surprising array of skills and techniques.
Discover a whole new world and answer the old question: What Does a Conductor Do?
Tickets are $20 in advance – available on our website, www.safe-harbors.org until noon on the day of the event, and $25 at the door.
Doors open one hour before the event.
This project is made possible with funds from the Orange County Arts Council’s Community Arts Grants Program.
