Through Different Lenses: Two Views of Headquarters
August 22, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm$5
Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site is, once again, offering “Through Different Lenses: Two Views of Headquarters.” This event premiered in July and sold out, so we’re doing it again.
This special event focuses on the headquarters during its early years as a historic site. It consists of a brief talk, followed by a special tour using stereographic views, allowing the visitor to experience the rooms of the headquarters as they would have seen them in the late 1800’s. Compare these 3D views to how headquarters is set up today to see how much has changed. Each visitor will also receive a special souvenir to take home!
These special tours will be held at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, on August 22nd, at a cost of $5.00 per person. Space is limited for the special tour, so please reserve your spot by calling the site at 845-562-1195.
The site, which includes the Museum housing the multi-award winning exhibit “Unpacked & Rediscovered: Selections from Washington’s Headquarters’ Collection,” and the standard tour of the headquarters, is also open on August 22nd from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors/students, and children 12 and under are free.
