Washington Market/Liberty Street

Washington Market, is the area that surrounds Washington’s Headquarters. This includes all of the businesses that line Liberty Street from Renwick to Broadway. Washington’s Headquarters was the first designated historic site in the country. The structure dates back to 1750. Today it is an attraction that brings many people to Liberty Street and the shops that line it. Many would say that the revilization of Newburgh depends on the success of this area.
