Please join us for a presentation of photographs, documents, and postcards of historic Newburgh dating from the 18th to the early 20th centuries. Among the images we will be showing are class photos of the children of the Grand street school, graduating students of Newburgh Academy, Newburgh’s baseball team and fire departments, ship builders and other workers, early documents from the Newburgh Glebe dating as far back as the late 1700’s, and much more.

The images will be presented by Hudson River Valley Heritage (HRVH; www.hrvh.org,) a digital library that provides online visitors with free access to historical materials from the collections of libraries, archives, museums and historical societies located in the Hudson Valley. Newburgh’s collection of over 500 items can be accessed online on HRVH.org.
