This town
Is literally falling into disrepair
I’m tired of people using these homes as crack dens and then the town just slapping yellow tape up and letting them fall apart
But I’m very sorry to also say that I also hate more so these city morons coming here and hiking our taxes up to the point of eviction…
You care less about this part of NY and more about your wallets… you fix up the town with a halo and finish it up by growing horns and kicking “lower income” citizens out… I wish I could afford a Victorian home on grand street or anywhere in newburgh because I actually care for this town… but I cant because once miss mink and mr miser move in from the city my taxes move up with them…
And I’m sick of it
Fix this town up but stay in nyc because I’d like to continue living where I am and not give up my home to the cityots… 😡

Seeking a Sublet or Rental for Early October
Hello Newburgh Restoration Community!
I’m heading to Newburgh in early October from Los Angeles, and looking for a short term sublet while I get settled and figure things out and look for a permanent residence.
About me:
I’m a chef. Moving to Newburgh from Los Angeles.
Looking for a private, temporary furnished space. Maybe for a couple of months while I get settled and move my belongings from CA.
I’m very quiet, private, clean and responsible/headache free.
I’m also open to a permanent situation if I find the right place. Once settled, I’ll be looking for a private residence with outdoor space.
I’d appreciate any leads and/or advice.
Thank you!
Naz

There are our confirmed speakers for now:

Diana Hird for Congress, running for congress in District 18
Pavlina Tcherneva, professor at Bard studying income inequality
Sandy Oxford, Latina representing the Working Families Party
Jonathan Bix, Executive Director of Nobody Leaves Mid-Hudson

Decora will be our DJ and will be playing music interspersed with speakers from 4-6. The rally will go from 6pm until sunset.
We will have food trucks from Nimai’s Bliss Kitchen, Roadies Diner, and Pippy’s Hotdog Truck
Resist AIM Pipeline will have a table with information.
Donate Life of Orange Co will be doing voter registration
We will also be inviting all those affected by gun violence in Newburgh up onto the stage for a memorial service at the end of the night. Local resident Omari Shakur will invite the families up.
The exact location is The People’s Waterfront, 1 Washington Street, Newburgh, NY, 12550. Its a large 7 acre open field next to Gully’s in Newburgh.
For those coming from Beacon, please try to take the ferry across. The last ferry back is at 8:20pm. If you live in Newburgh, please walk if you can. If you are driving, there will be limited parking in the lots down at the waterfront. There is also free parking along Water Street. There is additional parking up the hill in the city and on Broadway.
After the night is over, we hope you will head to Newburgh Brewing Company, Ms. Fairfax, or any of the great restaurants down on the waterfront.
