Last time we looked at 1 Edward the owners were in the process of removing the ever troublesome north wall and switching contractors. Since then, progress seems to be moving quite quickly! The new wall is up and 2×4’s are already being installed for insulation and beams have been hoisted to support the new roof. They are hoping to be able to move in sometime in the spring or summer. It is a very complicated process because the building is historic and they might have to split up construction in phases.

Not too many would take on such a project with such monumental issues. Newburgh really is fortunate to find such a family willing to stick it out through the end. Keep going Lan!

118 Dubois St Newburgh NY

Here’s a property that I think is worth a look directly in front of Downing Park. According to the listing this property is scheduled to be sold at a foreclosure auction on 02/13/15 at 11 a.m. The auction is scheduled to take place at 285 Main Street in Goshen. Since it’s going to be sold at auction, the property could see for more, or for less. There are no interior photos but I have a feeling that it will resemble it’s neighbor, that is also for sale, 122 Dubois. There are already some great neighbors that live close by, a desirable factor indeed.

133 West Parmenter Newburgh NY

You mostly hear about East Parmenter and all the revitalization work that is going on there. However, on the other side of the cemetery is West Parmenter. There isn’t anything particularly grand about this humble home in foreclosure but, the large driveway that is attached makes it worth a look. It was set up as a 2-family home but one of the kitchens has been removed.
