Here is a lovely house at the north end of the City of Newburgh. It’s a 1926 Colonial home that was once overwrought with weeds and a wild lawn. The owners, Jodie and Jeff, are fixing up their home slowly, but wanted to share the work they have done on the exterior. Since purchasing the home they have added a new roof, windows, doors and gutters. They have also power washed the siding.
There was a stone walkway that was hidden from the overgrown grass. Today the home looks lovely. See below.

The empty buildings on Chambers between Broadway and 1st Street are pretty awesome. This huge building that is over 4,500 sq ft is no exception. I have mentioned countless times the interesting projects and people on this block. There are artists, musicians and more. This property also comes with the lot next door. It could be anything from parking to a nice side yard. This area reminds me so much of trendy neighborhoods that once started out as barren places that were slowly built back up. Time will only continue to tell but, if you are in the market for mixed-use building, check this one out!

This house is kinda scary, it needs a lot of work despite the listing saying that minor work needs to be done. There are major holes in the ceiling, the floors all need to be redone, and there is no plumbing. It’s going to be a major project. That aside, there are still a lot of original details from what I can see like the fireplaces and a pocket door. This house just north of Downing Park has some good bones. There are a lot of dated details i.e. dropped ceilings and carpet, but this could be fixed up into a lovely home for a young family.
