I am LOVING the new exhibit that will coming to the Ann Street Gallery this Saturday. Paper cutting is appearing on some of the most popular design blogs around. Check them out here and here and here. You can also have custom work done. It’s beautiful!  Well now, the art of paper cutting is coming to Newburgh and, you can have the chance to chat with a few paper cutting artists this Saturday.

The Ann Street Gallery’s new exhibition CUT IT UP! Contemporary Papercutters opens with an Artist Reception on Saturday, November 13, from 6-9pm.

In CUT IT UP!, 11 divergent artists come together to reveal how paper cutting is igniting the imaginations of today’s contemporary artists and provides insight into the enormous creative potential of one of our most common materials: paper. These artists explore a spectrum of techniques from the most basic cutting, folding, tearing, and collage, which expose the infinite possibilities of the medium that makes for the creation of innovative art.

The artists featured include:

Joseph Bagley
Jaq Belcher
Laura Cooperman
Béatrice Coron
Patrick Gannon
