Real Estate: 96 Broadway

Have you ever seen this building on the corner of Broadway and Liberty and wonder “what is going on with that place?” It looks like someone wanted to start fixing it, but then stopped or ran out of money. Well I came across a real estate listing for this property at 96 Broadway. It’s listed for $375,000. The purchase of the property will come complete with architectural plans which look pretty awesome if someone could come along and finish the job. The first floor would be a retail space, the 2nd floor would be office space, and the 3rd and 4th floors would be apartments.

This is right around the corner from the SUNY Orange campus that will be adding some foot traffic to the area. It’s also right across the street from the Ritz Theater which will be fully restored in a few years. Click on the listing and take a look at the plans yourself. Oh, and there are some legal documents online from the New York State Supreme Court regarding this property if you can understand it. Click here to see more examples of Newburgh Real Estate.

  • Yep. Good luck with all those legal documents.

I guess it all comes down to “yellow or orange–because that’s what it’s going to be when you wake up in the morning.”

  • my great great grandfather – in addition to building much of First Street in the late 1800s – built several stores on lower Broadway – 110 being one of them – I would not be suprised if this was one of his buildings – thanks to newburgh restoration for trying to salvage these old buildings – the architecture can never be replaced –
