Newburgh 23rd Annual International Festival Labor Day Weekend

The Festival will be held Sept. 2-5 on the grounds of the Newburgh Armory Unity Center at 321 St. William Street. The show will go on, rain or shine. Midway rides and early-bird vendors will begin on Friday around 5 p.m. The festivities will be in full swing with, carnival rides and attractions on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 11 p.m. and on Monday from noon till 10 p.m.

Arm-of-the-Sea Theater will present a bilingual performance of “Criss-Crossing Borders- the Panama Suitcase Show” on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. The show incorporates a handmade style of visual storytelling to portray kinship ties between animals and humans, and between people living on opposite sides of a border.

This year, every day is “Wristband Day” For only $20 each day, festival goers can enjoy unlimited carnival rides during the following times: Friday: 5 – 11 p.m. and Saturday-Monday, from 1-5 p.m.

There will also be a variety of international and local cuisine, and the return of an early International Festival tradition- music by local bands. Information on the entertainment lineup will be made available shortly and posted on the City website, www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov.

If you would like to be a vendor, the fee is $150 for the entire weekend, including Friday evening. The charge for food vendors wishing to be under the tent is $180.
