On Saturday, Sept 24th at 9am, the Newburgh Rowing Club will be hosting the 1st Annual Great Five Mile Kayak Challenge at Ward Brothers Park in Newburgh, NY. The event will commemorate the “Great Five Mile Rowing Match” of 1867 and will support increased public access to the Newburgh waterfront, assist with our shoreline restoration efforts, and allow us to continue to offer our Learn-to-Row Programs to the surrounding communities.
