So continues my obsession with carriage houses in Newburgh. This photo comes from the Library of Congress, dated May 1970. It’s listed as the Carriage House of Halsey Stevens House. In this picture it’s the Hagar Electric Company. See larger resolution here. Today it’s part of the property for sale at 182 Grand Street. It’s still quaint, just not as rustic as it was in 1970.
