The City of Newburgh just announced yesterday that next open house to view properties will be next Friday, January 31st from noon to 4pm. Snow date is February 3rd. If buildings are deemed unsafe to enter, they will only allow exterior photos. This is the schedule of the buildings to be viewed:
Noon: 117 & 119 Renwick, 255 Ann St., 41 Lutheran
1pm: 35 & 49 Concord, 162 Broadway
2pm: 157 Grand St, 288 Grand St, 266 Carpenter
3pm: 61 Liberty St WH, 82 Liberty St WH, 63 Grove St.
If you are interested in purchasing one of these properties you must fill out a PODA and a RFQ that is due February 13, 2014 by 4pm. The PODA should be completed by any home-ownership candidates who will reside in their properties, while the RFQ can be completed by any developer or owner who does not plan to reside in the property.

Any word? 288 Grand received two extensions to close from the original date of June 30, 2014; 083114 & 093014, the latter date being set on Sept. 4th as the ‘title issues were resolved’.
I just emailed the buyers. They said that they are close, but it hasn’t happened yet. Hopefully they’ll let me know when they close and I’ll post about it.
