  • There are many ideas- and facts- that Andres Duany brought to the fore in the charrette he undertook in Newburgh almost 10 years ago. It’s shameful that his words were discarded onto a dusty shelf. We are lucky to have had him here. The irony of his successes elsewhere is a sad commentary on the petty government running our city. The energy and money wasted on this land bank scam would have been much better spent working towards initiatives he and his fellow planners suggested. Those ideas would have secured a broader more attractive city.
